We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Zonal Sales Manager to oversee and drive sales growth across a designated region for our logistics business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in logistics or supply chain sales, a strategic mindset, and the ability to manage, develop, and motivate a high-performing sales team. This role involves managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the successful execution of sales targets within the assigned zone.
Key Responsibilities
• Sales Strategy & Execution :
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets within the assigned zone.
• Identify new business opportunities and markets to expand the company's presence in the logistics industry.
• Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to meet changing market dynamics.
• Team Management & Development :
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of sales executives to drive performance and meet regional sales targets.
• Provide ongoing coaching, support, and performance feedback to the sales team.
• Ensure the team is well-equipped with the necessary resources, tools, and knowledge to achieve success.
• Customer Relationship Management :
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Serve as the main point of contact for major accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Resolve any customer issues or escalations related to logistics services in a timely and professional manner.
• Market Research & Competitive Analysis :
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging trends in the logistics sector.
• Utilize market insights to fine-tune sales strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business development efforts and refine the sales approach.
• Sales Forecasting & Reporting :
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and regular updates to senior management.
• Track sales progress, manage pipeline, and ensure alignment with business objectives and targets.
• Analyze sales performance and prepare reports to highlight achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
• Collaboration & Cross-functional Coordination :
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure smooth service delivery and meet client expectations.
• Work closely with the operations team to align on delivery schedules, customer requirements, and inventory management.
• Contribute to pricing strategy, product offerings, and service development based on customer and market feedback.
Requirements
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in sales within the logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry. At least 2 years in a managerial or leadership position.
• Skills & Competencies :
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics, supply chain operations, and market dynamics.
• Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?50,000.00 per month
