: Youth Facilitator

Location: Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh
Duration: Till 31st March 2025

Role Overview:
The Youth Facilitator will play a key role in mobilizing, mentoring, and supporting Changemakers to run Public Initiatives (PI) with young people. These initiatives will be experiential and youth-led, aimed at enhancing knowledge and building capacity to inspire community impact, while driving demand generation for Family Planning and Sexual and Reproductive Health (FP/SRH).

Key Responsibilities:

- Mobilize and select 6 young Changemakers (aged 16-22) from the community.
- Mentor Changemaker pairs in engaging 30 young people from their community.
- Support baseline and endline engagements for the participating youth.
- Assist Changemakers in planning and executing Public Initiatives, including mobilization, implementation, and monitoring.
- Provide ongoing mentorship to Changemakers throughout the three phases of the initiative: Enabling, Action, and Buzz Creation.
- Compile and submit quarterly and annual reports, including attendance sheets, photos, and impact stories.
- Facilitate regular governance and learning processes with the Changemakers.
- Attend governance meetings with the PRERANA partner's team.

Qualifications:

- Age between 22-32.
- Based in the home state, with a willingness to travel within and outside the area.
- Passionate about youth leadership and community development.
- Experience in mentoring or facilitating youth groups.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Fluency in the local language and dialect is required.
- Ability to engage and motivate young people.
- Knowledge of the relevant theme is desirable.
