The program for the selected candidate will run from April 2023 to March 2024. Carnegie India is looking to recruit one young ambassador. Young people are key stakeholders in sustained development, peace initiatives, and democratic governance. • Learn from and contribute to a diverse community of young leaders within the cohort in New Delhi and the larger Carnegie network in Washington D.C., Brussels, Beirut, and Beijing.
  • Imbibe and nurture professional skills, such as leadership, analytical acumen, critical thinking, and report writing, amongst others.
  • Be part of cutting-edge economic policy projects at Carnegie India while building on and finetuning one\'s own research interest in these areas.
  • Interact with various stakeholders in the public policy domain as well as assigned mentors on a 1:1 basis.
  • Be mentored by and assist Carnegie India scholars working on a range of public policy issues and build networks both within Carnegie as well as leaders in the industry.
  • The intern may be assigned administrative, editorial, research, writing, or organisational tasks to provide overall support to Carnegie India\'s Technology and Society program. The intern will also assist scholars on ongoing projects, background research, and events.
  • Responsibilities may include research assistance on issues relating to digital currencies, biotechnology, space policy, data governance, encryption, digital privacy, FinTech, digital public infrastructure and semiconductor supply chains.
  • Support verticals at Carnegie India, including program, development, and communication teams and help with the organization of Global Technology Summit and Security Dialogue, Carnegie India\'s flagship annual events.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Applicant should be a recent graduate in any discipline with an interest in the field of technology policy, public policy, law, management etc.
  • Applicant is expected to commit full-time to the program in New Delhi.
Note: Preference will be given to applicants from beyond metropolitan cities. Carnegie India wishes to open the public policy domain beyond major metropolitan cities in India. The selected applicant will be paid a fixed monthly stipend, along with a one-time relocation amount.
