Assess patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
Perform a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images.
Observe and maintain contact with patients during their waiting, examination, and post-examination stay in the department.
Assist in more complex radiological examinations, working with radiologists, doctors, and surgeons.
Provide support and reassurance to patients, taking into account their physical and psychological needs.
Record imaging identification and patient documentation quickly and accurately, and observe protocols to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality.
Understand and observe health and safety at work and welfare issues, including ionizing radiation regulations, to protect yourself and others.
Ensure that equipment is regularly checked for malfunctions, and report any faults.
Respond to telephone inquiries related to patients, lab requests, x-rays, prescription requests, etc.
Coordinate appointments for specialist referrals, x-rays, lab testing, etc., and convey pertinent instructions and information to the patient.
Complete and coordinate consent forms and day sheets.
Perform other related duties within the clinic as assigned.
