What You'll Do:Avalara is looking for an experienced Workplace Project Manager, to support workplace projects, office enhancements, employee experience programs, and workplace operations in the Pune office. We are looking for project management skills and collaboration with partners across the company. The Project Manager will help ensure workplace projects are implemented efficiently, contributing to Avalara's culture.Role Reports To: Director, Workplace, APACYou will be part of the Workplace team responsible for workplace operations and employee experience in Pune. You will collaborate with the broader Workplace, IT, Finance, and People & Culture teams to ensure smooth execution of workplace projects. What Your Responsibilities Will Be:This full-time position is based in our Pune, India location. You will play a critical role as part of the Workplace team and will report to the Director, Workplace, APAC. We are looking for someone proactive, and able to handle multiple workplace projects simultaneously. You will have project management expertise.

  • Deliver workplace projects, ensuring understanding of our needs and timelines.
  • Coordinate office moves, seating allocations through ServiceNow, and employee change management strategies.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and risk management, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other teams and partners to align workplace projects with our goals.
  • Handle physical and electronic security following company standards, including CCTV and Access Control Systems (ACS).
  • Ensure adherence to workplace policies, safety standards, and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, and dashboards to track progress and milestones.
  • Support vendor management, procurement, and budget tracking for workplace projects.
  • Contribute to employee engagement programs and office events to enhance the workplace experience.
  • Maintain relationships with partners and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide updates and reports on project status, identifying risks and recommending solutions.
  • Willingness to travel within the APAC region to support workplace projects.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
  • 6+ years of experience in project management, workplace operations, or facilities management.
  • Experience with project management principles and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in vendor coordination, contract management, and procurement processes.
  • Ability to analyse data and create reports for project tracking and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) and project management tools.
  • PMP certification or relevant qualifications are a plus.
  • Any Graduate, BS/BA in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field
