Job Title: Workday Functional Tester

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Workday Functional Tester with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have strong functional testing expertise in Workday HCM (Human Capital Management) and Workday Finance modules, with the ability to execute and automate test cases, identify issues, and collaborate with functional teams to ensure that Workday implementations meet business requirements. This is an urgent position for immediate joiners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Functional Testing:
• Perform end-to-end functional testing of Workday HCM , Workday Finance , and other Workday modules.
• Validate Workday configurations against functional requirements, ensuring that the solution meets business needs.
• Create, review, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for various Workday modules (Core HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent Management, Time Tracking, etc.).
• Conduct regression, integration, system, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure the quality and functionality of Workday applications.
• Coordinate with business users, functional consultants, and development teams to validate and test configurations.
• Test Planning & Execution:
• Lead test planning sessions to gather requirements and set up test environments.
• Identify and document test data and test scenarios based on business requirements and functional specifications.
• Execute manual and automated test scripts across different environments (e.g., QA, UAT, production) for various phases of testing.
• Log defects, track issues, and ensure they are resolved within agreed-upon timelines.
• Perform performance testing and identify areas of improvement in the application.
• Collaboration & Reporting:
• Collaborate with Workday Functional Consultants, Technical Consultants, and Business Analysts to review requirements and provide testing input.
• Provide regular test progress updates, including defect status and test results, to stakeholders.
• Ensure all testing is aligned with Workday best practices and governance standards.
• Participate in meetings with business stakeholders to understand test objectives and define success criteria.
• Test Documentation & Reporting:
• Prepare detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports, and track testing progress.
• Analyze and report testing results to ensure the highest quality deliverables.
• Identify areas for test automation, and where applicable, work with automation teams to develop and execute test scripts.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Workday Functional Testing , with a strong focus on HCM and/or Finance modules.
• Proven track record of performing end-to-end testing in Workday implementations (core HR, payroll, benefits, recruiting, time tracking, etc.).
• Experience in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of Workday business processes , configuration, and integration testing.
• Experience with test management tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of Workday HCM and Finance modules .
• Ability to work with Workday reporting and data validation .
• Experience in writing and executing test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications.
• Familiarity with Workday Studio (integration testing), Workday BIRT Reporting , and/or Workday Web Services is a plus.
• Knowledge of Workday security and access controls for testing purposes.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across business and IT teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Workday certifications (e.g., Workday HCM, Workday Integration) are a plus.

Pay: From ?1,500,000.00 per month
