Job Title: WordPress Developer

Job Overview:

As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites for our clients and internal teams. You will work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to create responsive, scalable, and user-friendly websites. If you have a passion for clean code, creative problem-solving, and staying up-to-date with WordPress technologies, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on client requirements.

- Collaborate with designers to translate design mockups into functional WordPress websites.

- Maintain and update WordPress websites, ensuring they are secure, fast, and user-friendly.

- Integrate third-party tools and APIs with WordPress as required.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress websites (performance, bugs, updates).

- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.

- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.

- Optimize websites for SEO and performance (speed, security).

- Keep up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and updates in the WordPress ecosystem.

- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and timelines.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins.

- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.

- Experience with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) and custom themes.

- Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques.

- Experience with website security practices and tools.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) is a plus.

- Experience with eCommerce platforms like WooCommerce is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (preferred).

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.

- Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).

- Familiarity with SEO tools and techniques.

- Experience working with hosting platforms like SiteGround, Bluehost, WP Engine, etc.

- Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a bonus.
