WordPress Designer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative WordPress Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites. You will work closely with clients or internal teams to deliver visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly websites that meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop responsive WordPress websites from scratch or customize existing themes based on client or project requirements. Create visually appealing layouts and user interfaces, focusing on usability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Customize and integrate WordPress themes and plugins to enhance website functionality. Collaborate with content creators, developers, and marketing teams to ensure the website meets both design and functional specifications. Maintain and update existing WordPress websites, ensuring they are secure, optimized, and up-to-date with the latest software updates and plugins. Implement SEO best practices to enhance the website's search engine ranking and visibility. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website performance, design, and user experience. Work on cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness for seamless user experiences across devices. Assist in creating landing pages, pop-ups, and other marketing assets within WordPress. Provide ongoing website support, making improvements as needed and advising on best practices.

Qualifications:

Proven experience designing and developing websites using WordPress. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Strong knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, and widget functionality. Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or similar tools. Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles. Familiarity with SEO principles and implementing on-page SEO. Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other analytics tools. Strong visual design skills and an understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. Ability to troubleshoot and debug website issues. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with eCommerce platforms such as WooCommerce. Familiarity with custom theme development and plugin customization. Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator). Experience with website hosting, backups, and security measures. Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
