Position Overview:
The Networking Associate will assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will support network operations, ensure optimal network performance, and provide technical assistance to end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Implementation and Maintenance:
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable network operation.
Perform routine maintenance and updates to network systems and equipment.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support to end-users, resolving network-related issues promptly.
Assist in the development and implementation of network policies and procedures.
Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures.
Monitor network traffic for security breaches and respond to potential threats.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with other IT team members to support overall IT operations.
Communicate network status, issues, and changes to relevant stakeholders.
Provide training and support to users on network-related topics.
Project Involvement:
Assist in network-related projects, including upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
Participate in planning and executing network-related initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in networking or a related IT field.
Familiarity with network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.
Skills:
Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security.
Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and providing effective solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
