### Job Overview:

The Wire Cut Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of wire-cut Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment to produce parts and components with precision. The role involves reading technical drawings, setting up equipment, and ensuring parts meet exact specifications through quality control checks.

### Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Setup and Operation :

- Prepare and set up wire EDM machines according to job specifications.

- Load and secure workpieces accurately for precision cutting.

- Configure machine settings, including wire tension, feed rate, and cutting parameters based on the material and required finish.

2. Interpretation of Technical Drawings :

- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD designs, and engineering diagrams.

- Plan and adjust machine cutting paths to match specified design requirements.

3. Quality Control and Inspection :

- Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to inspect finished components, ensuring they meet dimensional and tolerance specifications.

- Document and address any quality issues or deviations from the design.

4. Troubleshooting and Maintenance :

- Perform routine maintenance on wire cut machines to keep them in optimal working condition.

- Identify and troubleshoot machine issues, adjusting as necessary to maintain quality.

- Replace and maintain EDM machine parts, including wires, filters, and cutting fluids.

5. Safety and Cleanliness :

- Adhere to safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe workspace.

- Ensure the work area remains clean and organized, reducing risks and enhancing efficiency.

6. Documentation and Reporting :

- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance tasks.

- Log any discrepancies or challenges encountered during operation for continuous improvement.

### Required Qualifications:

- Education : High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in machining or EDM is a plus.

- Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience operating wire EDM machines or similar machinery.

- Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in wire EDM operation and setup.

- Ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD files.

- Familiarity with precision measurement tools for quality inspection.
