Strong Senior Engineering Windows SME. Strong Windows troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of VMware and supporting VMware hosting environments. Troubleshooting and Root cause analysis with a focus on Windows workloads. Strong experience with Active Directory Services, including Group Policy and other related services. Strong experience supporting Tier 1 base tooling on Windows (Antivirus, Backup, Configuration Management). Strong experience supporting enterprise scale multi domain windows environments across multi-hosted platform environments. Strong experience supporting and troubleshooting complex automated workflows. Acting as a customer liaison for all Windows Workloads across the bank. Taking ownership and helping customers with their queries around Windows Server performance and troubleshooting. Acting as the glue for all teams to ensure they are looked after. Ability to lead a team of people delivering root cause analysis across multiple technologies. Maintaining Ownership of Windows related tasks as the highest escalation point within the Bank. Pulling in resources from other teams as required, assigning investigation tasks and drawing on expertise as required across the greater Westpac support teams. Ability to juggle multiple priorities and assess criticality of support queries to correctly manage workloads and customer expectations. Ability to communicate across all levels of management (From Level 1 / Level 2 staff to Senior Directors). Managing incident and request escalation from our Level 1 and Level 2 teams requiring investigation and escalation to our vendors. Strong Training and Upskilling mentality - Focus on maintaining current industry leading certifications and technologies. Strong automation experience and knowledge of industry leading platforms: PowerShell (Required) CHEF (Highly Desirable) Terraform (Desirable) Understanding of the DEVOPS Delivery model mindset (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery). Experience in Infrastructure Architecture and Design. Ability to create and understand detailed technical design documentation Maintain existing documentation as per system and process changes as required Taking part in a rotating roster for on call support for the Windows L3 Operations team Minimum Five Years of experience in Windows/VMware Infrastructure Ability to develop automation scripts (Chef, Shell etc.,) Understanding of Network OSI Model, TCP/IP and Routing Communication and interpersonal skills. Client focused, Great team spirit, autonomous and rigorous Effective time management Should possess industry standard certifications for Windows domain. Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities. Ability to work effectively as a team leader. Working across cultures.
