Summary: The Custom Apps Systems Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the custom applications that are developed using .net & java and that are deployed into IIS and Tomcat servers. The incumbent must have in-depth knowledge of the environments which they will use to design and support the implementations. They will work with the systems engineers and architects to design and deploy the system infrastructure required to support 24/7 global applications. They will provide best practice guidance for all areas around operational standards and practices for custom apps suite and other middleware products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Support development, test and production environments, including application security and availability. Ensure availability and stability of Custom Applications production environments. Install, configure, monitor and troubleshoot Windows Servers, IIS, Scheduled Tasks, and Services. Install patches and updates as appropriate on production, development, test environments and staging environments. Work with database administrators and the technical group to resolve issues and identify optimal solutions. Participate in the IT Change Management process which includes, but is not limited to the drafting of plans, system testing and application of controls for all updates made to a test or production environment. Must be well versed with tickets handling and day-to-day tasks and issues prioritization. Work with business analysts and developers to resolve issues. Provide technical input for and assist in the maintenance of departmental documentation relating to the environment. Maintain the security and confidentiality of information accessible on managed systems. Work with analysts to monitor, manage and resolve any incoming helpdesk calls that pertain to the Middleware systems. QUALIFICATIONS: Detailed knowledge of Windows Servers, IIS, .NET and Java applications Experience in installing and configuring Windows Server Roles, Features, and IIS Components. Experience in installing SSL certs and applying security protocols. Working knowledge of development tools Bitbucket, Jenkins, FTP/SFTP Well versed with Oracle Database Server and Linux OS Tomcat and SharePoint knowledge would be good addition. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skill with both technical and end user levels. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Ability to manage shifting priorities and workloads. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Degree holder in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.)/MBA/MCA or equivalent. 8+ years of experience as a IIS/Windows Administrator in an Enterprise-wide environment is a must have requirement.
