Responding to Service Desk tickets in a timely fashion:Windows Desktop Support Specialist POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS: The Windows Desktop Support Specialist reports to the EMS Service Delivery Manager, and partners closely with colleagues performing similar roles and users of the BankVirtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). The Windows Desktop Support Specialist will have a range of responsibilities including but not limited to:Supporting Bank staff with problems encountered with their VDI machinesInstalling desktop software, resolving capacity constraints, performing Windows configurationCollaborating with Bank Infrastructure Operations teams in the migration of the VDI platform to VMWare Horizon 8Developing scripts that automate service operation procedures.Responding to Service Desk tickets in a timely fashionContributing to a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the teamEngaging in change and continuous improvement in operating processes the successful applicant will:be able to evidence good problem-solving skills; be motivated, organized, a self-starter, proactive, quality-focused; possess excellent verbal communication and comprehension skills;Experience in a Windows desktop support role in a Windows 7 or Windows 10 virtual desktop environment realized by VMWare Horizon technology
