The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of completion techniques, equipment, and technologies, as well as excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Their role ensures seamless coordination among subsurface, wells, and production operations for enhancing efficiency, appropriate resource allocation and providing best suited completion design catering well objectives for the life cycle of well.ReportingThe Lead COMPLETION engineer reports to the Head (DRILLING and COMPLETION) - West CoastResponsibilities and DutiesThe key responsibilities of the Lead COMPLETION Engineer include:Collaborate with subsurface, drilling, projects and operations teams to provide right well completion designs for new wells, sidetrack or work over wells.Lead the well design and completion design of well opportunities while providing critical inputs on:o Tubing selection, metallurgy selection, artificial lift selection and design along with sand face completion designo Provide inputs in sand control design and execution for upcoming wells.o Accountable for sand management practices for base wells on production/injection to avoid failure and sand fill issues.o Flow assurance management for base wells and design assurance on new wells being planned.o Technical assurance on well integrity and metallurgy selection at well design stage along with overall integrity management for online/base wellsCarry out well Completion planning, program writing and reviewing, supporting execution across well completions operations.Oversee the execution of completion operations on-site, monitoring progress, addressing technical challenges, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental guidelinesSupport with well intervention planning and execution during pre/post well completion phase and activation phase including but not limited to slick line, wire line, coiled tubing, tractor conveyed well Completion in high angle wells, pumping and well stimulation.Coordinate with the Petroleum Engineering team for mapping of resources and equipment required for planned Completions to ensure availability and timely execution.Conduct post-job reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of Completions and identify areas for improvement.Conduct resource mapping and planning for short term and long term well Completions, support procurement process for resource augmentations and contract management.QualificationsMinimum of 8 years of oil field experience in Well Completion and intervention (offshore experience preferred)Experience in different artificial lift methods (Gas Lift, Jet Pump, ESP etc), completion design, flow assurance and sand control.Minimum Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering.Strong communication and presentation skills
