Job Position : Welding Manager Location : Thanjavur, Tamil nadu Salary : INR 30,000 to 50,000 per month Experience : 8 to 10 years : We are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Welding Manager to join our fabrication industry in Thanjavur. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all welding operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and optimizing welding processes to improve efficiency and productivity. Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate welding activities within the fabrication facility, including but not limited to arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, and spot welding.
- Develop and implement welding procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Manage a team of welders, providing leadership, guidance, and technical support to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of welding equipment and tools to ensure they are well-maintained and in proper working condition.
- Monitor welding parameters such as voltage, current, and travel speed to optimize welding processes and minimize defects.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of welding materials, consumables, and gases to prevent accidents and maintain inventory levels.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to review welding requirements for new projects and provide input on feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement quality control measures to inspect welded components for defects, ensure welds meet specifications, and address any issues promptly.
- Develop training programs and provide technical training to welders to enhance their skills and knowledge of welding techniques and procedures.
- Maintain documentation related to welding procedures, welder qualifications, inspection reports, and quality records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor\'s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in welding operations, preferably in a fabrication industry.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and equipment, with expertise in arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, and spot welding.
- Experience in managing a team of welders and supervising welding operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with welding codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, and API.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in welding inspection (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector) is a plus.
