Job Summary:


Flowserve is currently looking for a Welding Engineer. In this role you will be in charge of coordinating and managing the Welding Process compliance . This includes understanding the general and technical requirements of welding cell, ensuring competent Welding Personnel for the Planning , performing and supervising of the welding production .


• The Personnel should provide facility support in the development, maintenance, improvement, and management of the Welding Process, and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible with regard to Welding activities to generate and maintain procedures, specifications, and systems to ensure welding requirements are effectively implemented ,
• Co-ordination and reporting KPI's related to Welding activities
• Operational Excellence & High Level of Customer Service Standard.

Responsibilities & Requirements:


• Ensure overall compliance to welding cell in terms of welding personnel, Welding booth requirements, consumables management, calibration of equipment.
• Ensure documentation compliance for overall welding process for
• a) Procedure for welding requirements
• b) Storage , Handling , control, distribution of welding consumables
• c) cell work instructions
• d) Visual inspection of welds
• e) Heat treatment process
• f) Weld repair process
• g) Records for various activities.
• Managing of Welding Radiography for Castings and Pipe welding
• Coordinate with production in order to plan and execute inbound and production checks
• Manage customer witness inspections for welding related activities.
• Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits as and when required.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events
• Drive Welding related KPIs and drive effective root cause corrective actions where appropriate to address gaps to agreed targets
• Participate in customer meetings for any welding related issue or process discussion.
• BE Mechanical with 4-7 yrs experience or DME with 6-8 yrs experience in Welding & Overall Quality preferably in Pump's OEM environment.

Required Experience ,Qualifications and Skills


• NDE certification for MPI, LP, UT, RT & VT
• Certified CSWIP or CWE engineer
• Knowledge of Piping Fabrication & supervision of fabrication activities.
• Knowledge of inspection equipment found in machining, assembly and test operations of pumps and associated accessories
• Knowlege of ISO 9001 QMS.
• Qualification & knowledge of ISO 3834-2 Compliance
• Experience in implementation of Welding WPQ & WPS.
• Knowledge of Pressure vessels as per ASME section VIII Div 1
• Knowledge of Weld Map preparation.
• Sufficient practical experience of Radiography testing & film review.
+ Experience in quality control department

• Proficient in Data analysis tools & techniques, corrective action request management, RCA and CAPA tools.
• Understanding of product / process flow
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Office, English & Fluent in business conversation, interpersonal , interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical and presentation skills.
• Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with positive, can-do attitude.
