Welder/fitter (fire Fighting work)
Job Description
reading blueprints, setting up equipment, welding, and ensuring safety
Looking for 2 to 4 years of experience.
• Read blueprints : Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine welding requirements
• Set up equipment : Select equipment and plan the layout of the assembly
• Weld : Use a torch to heat metal and shape it according to the design
• Join parts : Position and connect parts by hand, often using specialized equipment like heat torches or lasers
• Follow safety protocols : Follow all safety protocols and clean up the workspace
• Inspect : Inspect items and provide feedback to management
• Maintain work area : Maintain a clean work area and return equipment and tools at the end of the day
Fitters and welders may work in the auto, aircraft, manufacturing, or mining industry. They may also work in construction, where they install pipework, valves, and pumps in large commercial buildings and factories. Some useful skills for a fitter and welder include: mechanical knowledge, strong attention to detail, and ability to read blueprints.
