Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Website Quality Assurance Lead to oversee the entire QA process for our WordPress website development projects. This pivotal role combines hands-on QA expertise with leadership responsibilities, requiring the creation and implementation of QA processes, tools, and documentation, as well as the management of a small team of QA specialists. The website is a foundational product in our feature offering, this role is critical to ensure all projects demonstrate incredible quality and exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive QA process for WordPress website development, including tools, workflows, and documentation standards.
• Oversee the execution of quality assurance tests, ensuring functionality, design consistency, responsiveness, performance and meeting all defined project requirements.
• Manage and mentor a team of up to three QA specialists, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation of QA results, ensuring clarity and accessibility for stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with the developer Team Leads to identify, track, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Perform and lead cross-browser, cross-device, and speed testing to ensure all websites meet established standards.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of QA processes.
• Stay informed of industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance QA capabilities.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in website (WordPress) development, QA, and/or related software QA roles.
• Proven experience creating and implementing QA processes, tools, and documentation.
• Leadership experience, including managing and mentoring teams.
• Proficiency in WordPress CMS, including themes, plugins, and customizations.
• Strong knowledge of debugging and testing tools, including browser developer tools and performance analyzers like Lighthouse or GTmetrix.
• Familiarity with SEO, accessibility (WCAG), and website security standards.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with automated testing tools is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of Agile methodologies and project workflows.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Certifications in Quality Assurance or team management are advantageous but not required.
