• 4+ years in WebLogic administration, including installation, configuration, tuning, and deployment of applications.
• At least 3+ years of experience in observability (logging, alerting, dashboard, APM) tools such as New Relic, Splunk, Dynatrace, and Datadog; in DevOps engineering, providing support and maintaining a 24x7 production Hybrid (cloud and on-premise) environment.
• Should have programming and scripting experience, e.g., Bash, Python, or similar.
• Experience with Oracle WebCenter, including installation, configuration, and management, is essential, along with integrating WebCenter Content and Portal with WebLogic Server.
• Experience in migrating applications to cloud environments is preferred.
• Should have hands-on experience with GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
• Good knowledge in creating and configuring domains in WebLogic.
• Good knowledge in configuring and tuning Apache web servers in Linux environments.
• Experience with JDBC, JMS, WebServices, Security standards, LDAP, and SSL.
• Experience with WebCenter Portal and Content, including troubleshooting performance issues, managing repositories, and deploying custom applications or components.
• Good knowledge in identifying the issues and providing quick resolutions.
• Knowledge in capturing and analyzing thread dumps and heap dumps.
• Experience in analyzing and fine-tuning server parameters (JVM Size, Thread pool size, Garbage Collection Process, etc.) for achieving better performance.
• Experience with HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, Clustering, and Load Balancing.
• Experience in WebLogic Operations Control and handling troubleshooting logs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Deploy, configure, and manage the WebLogic Server, including WebCenter components such as Content, Imaging, and Portal modules.
• Comfortable working with Linux servers (installing applications, analyzing logs, and editing config files).
• Comfortable working with Windows servers (starting/stopping Windows services, analyzing logs, and installing applications).
• Should be comfortable working with Linux servers (installing applications, analyzing logs, and editing config files).
• Should be comfortable working the 2 PM-11 PM IST shift.
• Should be responsible for writing shell scripts and WLST scripts to automate processes.
• Ability to utilize existing or new technology to assist in automating processes to monitor and diagnose system health issues, drive triage to resolve problems, and ensure smooth operations.
• Provide administrative functions (maintenance, performance tuning/optimization, governance, troubleshooting, etc.) for WebLogic Server and WebCenter components as needed.
• Responsible for the end-to-end process of deploying Java EE Applications to WebLogic Server.
• Partner with Engineering, Services, and Support to improve system processes and provide required support for day-to-day operations.
• Ability to create and improve automation and alerting scripts.
• Optimize installation of critical security patch updates from Oracle.
• Provide required on-call support for rotating application deployments and 24/7 operational support.
• Publish and maintain internal documentation related to services offered, content management configurations, WebCenter permissions, and workflows.
• Knowledge of basic networking, including firewall rules, ports, and database links.
