General and Task Management Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company s policies and vision Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations. Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization. Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures. Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements. Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system. Prepare annual budget. Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies. Plan work rotations, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results. Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees. Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc) Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided. Requirements and skills Proven work experience as a Warehouse supervisor Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives. Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases Leadership skills and ability manage staff. Strong decision making and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills People Management Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements. Relationship Management Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the production line as and when required avoiding disruption to production. Work with cross functional teams to deliver effective solutions Liaise with stakeholders on product change requests and review and communicate the impact on material planning and schedules. Self-starter and able to motivate others Flexible and works well under pressure Qualifications and Experience Level Any degrees in logistics / transportation management 10 to 12 years of experience in warehouse management. Excellent communication skills (English at conversational level required) Speaking Hindi will be an additional advantage Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Team Management Proficiency in MS office Ability to build good relationship with internal and external customers Hold the ability to run multiple projects parallelly and having a strategic mind-set Brings an external focus to work, by being constantly updated on developments and innovations in the external world Desire and ability to take full ownership of end-to-end execution to meet sales target Strong work ethic with excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
