Job Description


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides expert level IT technical lead services and design the Innovation Products target architecture.
  • Directs and leads in building skills within the function by helping to define and implement capability building roadmaps within and across Product Families Stewards, the Chapter and its relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Advises top management on strategic decision-making relevant to the Chapter (e.g., large architecture investments)
  • Defines enterprise-level standards in regards to the functional area ensuring consistency and integrity of the functional area at enterprise level.
  • Designs and reinforces work standards, serves as the escalation path for cross-chapter decision-making, problem solving and resolution of performance issues.
  • Follows industry and functional trends and develops a strategy to bring new tools, techniques, innovations, and best practices to his/her competence/ functional area.
  • Participates in Innovation Strategic projects and explores the niche & latest technologies
  • Practices hands-on Software discipline as an individual contributor on a team
  • Coordinates with Leaders across Product Families to create a consistent strategy for the functional area. Aligns with Senior Product Owner and Chief Product Owner on Product Roadmaps and with STL on tech architecture, and problem solves with them on how the Chapter can best support them
  • Works with Group & Country Technology team and functional leads to ensure current and future requirements.
  • Ensures that an optimal balance of skills and capabilities is achieved the within the development practice to enable the organization to achieve its strategic goals

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelors degree in a Software Development field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 15+ years experience in technical specialty, includes three years\' hands on development experience and four to five years demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
ROLE SPECIFIC TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES AND PROFICIENCY LEVELS
  • Meaningful experience on cloud application architecture (micro-services, containers), operations practices (Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) and tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, micro-services architecture, OAuth token-based authentication protocols, and the AWS environment
  • AWS certification is preferable: AWS Developer/Architect
