Job Description

As a Vice President on PRICE-X, candidate will be responsible and accountable for delivery of all development projects in PRICE-X. Candidate will be responsible for application development on complex functionality, requiring detailed design. Candidate will be responsible for designing solutions to complex business problems, and handle them end-to-end, all the way up to production rollout, working closely with business partners and global stakeholders directly.
Key responsibilities:

• Understand complex business requirements, partnering with global stakeholders and product teams, and offering solutions, all the way from design to implementation, and rollout.
• Be responsible for production stability and coordinate with the DevOps and Deployment teams for releases
• Be accountable for delivery within PRICE-X with strong focus on process implementation and adherence
• Be an evangelist of Agile best practices and work on implementing and facilitating scrum practices within the team
• Closely collaborate with Operations partners for tool implementation and automation. Be the single point person for coordinating Ops releases
• Code, test and implement high quality Java programs for a highly complex enterprise application system, running a suite of complex applications and rich GUI, working as part of global Agile team.
• Modify existing software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.
• Co-ordinate across multiple stakeholders including tech, O ps, business, BA partners , QA
• Ensure that design and implementation works against high-volume data sources, is scalable and fault-tolerant.

Tech skills:
Candidate should have development experience for at least 15+ years, in Web technologies, and should be proficient in the following:

• Core Java / J2EE
• Spring boot, Hibernate or similar ORM framework
• HTML/JavaScript preferably with exposure to some JavaScript framework such as Angular, React
• Strong Database skills preferably with Oracle; Past experience in PL SQL, processing large amount of data will be a great addition.
• Knowledge of microservices.
• Knowledge of JMS and related middleware products such as IBM MQ Series.
• Unix scripting, Maven will be desired.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies - AWS
• Knowledge of job scheduling tools like Autosys will be plus.
• Knowledge of Kafka would be an added advantage
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies.
• Good communication skills
• Past experience in having led the team will be plus
