VP Research Data Platform & A&G SolutionsAbout our Team:This position is for our A&G Solutions team, a dynamic and inclusive team dedicated to innovation and excellence.About the Role:The VP of Research Data Platform Governance will oversee the prioritization and operating model of the data platform. This role includes orchestrating engagement with solution domains, supporting prioritization, and ensuring the successful execution of initiatives. You will ensure that data products and capabilities deliver value and are accessible to stakeholders, while maintaining and driving certification models for data entities and capabilities.Responsibilities:-People and Capabilities- Provide cross-functional leadership to ensure succession plans and development for key roles.- Clarify functional and cross-functional roles and responsibilities within the RDP leadership teams and adjacent domains.- Promote Elsevier Operating Principles across all teams.Collaboration and Agility- Foster alignment and collaboration between RDP domains and other teams.- Engage senior stakeholders to ensure robust governance of RDP prioritization and execution.Policy- Ensure all data products are supported by a policy that represents entities and explains them to the market.Requirements:Strategy- Align the data and capability strategy with the A&G solutions portfolio strategy.- Monitor competitive and market trends to adjust the RDP strategy as needed.Growth and Profitability- Ensure the RDP can scale to support future growth.- Achieve profitable growth through ongoing review of data and capabilities, ensuring new investments are sustainable.Customer Focus- Understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive insights.- Translate these insights into priorities for the RDP, including areas of investment and quality.Value Proposition Development- Support go-to-market excellence related to data and its market explanation.- Ensure data products and capabilities are understood and governed effectively.Products & Portfolio- Ensure consistent data consumption across all A&G solutions.- Reduce workarounds and ensure data products support competition in the market.Innovation- Partner with solution teams to support monetizable innovation.- Evaluate new commercial data products and innovative data science approaches to drive quality and efficiency.Work in a Way That Works for You:We promote a healthy work/life balance and provide numerous well-being initiatives, including shared parental leave, study assistance, and sabbaticals.
