As part of these efforts, a new position for a VP, Enterprise Complaints Data, Reporting, and Insight is created to lead the transformation in Complaints Reporting and Analytics supporting Synchrony\'s ability to satisfactorily demonstrate and address compliance to internal and external requirements while delivering on world class customer experienceRole Summary/Purpose:The VP, Lead Partner Systems Engineer will enjoy balancing between solving partner engineering architectural challenges and leading a team of junior system engineers. This VP will get to showcase their hands on engineering experience and team leadership and mentoring skills.This VP will help drive the Partner Engineering vision for the Synchrony Product Organization. To be successful in this role, deep expertise in Synchrony system solution architecture with specific emphasis on Fiserv Optis, financial systems, RAPID, Sales Force, SynAPPS, Dapply and CATS will be required.In addition, the VP will manage a team of solution architects working on and supporting specific IT systems within Synchrony.Essential Responsibilities:Manage a team of system engineers developing partner funding and financial systems.Be a mentor to your team for system architecture and design.Influence many agile development teams through all phases of the Agile development life cycle through SAFE.Implement new technologies and assist developers as they migrate to new technologies.Architect applications across the full stack, experience in PCF, Cloud Native Application Architecture, Microservices ecosystem, J2EE, Spring Java, and RESTful API\'s are a must.Design and modify data models to support complex business and partner onboarding processesInfluence and collaborate with software developers, UX designers, product managers, application architects, to streamline partner onboarding solutions.Mentor and influence all levels of the team: in this role, you will have the opportunity to influence up and down the chain of commandEnsure compliance with architecture, security and technology standards set by Synchrony FinancialAssist in crafting and maintaining the future state technology architectural strategy, along with our application modernization and migration roadmap.Participate in Agile scrums consisting of cross-functional teamsLead Agile sprints as technical expert, including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming sessions, and sprint reviewsParticipate in addressing root cause analyses, incident reports and provide direction in problem resolutionAbility to analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, and implement fixesProvide 24x7 on-call support periodically throughout the yearIdentify ways to increase efficiency and improve system performanceWork with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into the company\'s productsRequired Skills/Knowledge:Bachelor\'s degree with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in Information technology OR in lieu of a degree, 12+ years of hands-on experience in Information technology.Desired Skills/Knowledge:Have common sense: Building is important, but do you think through designs to ensure they\'re the best solutions first?Are a leader: This VP will influence the entire Partner Engineering vision across multiple teams. Are you up for the challenge?Learn quickly and adapt to new technology - Partner Engineering is about driving change across multiple systems using different tech stacks.Think like a partner: Central to our products is our understanding of our partners\' needs and requirements.Eligibility Criteria:Bachelor\'s degree with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in Information technology OR in lieu of a degree, 12+ years of hands-on experience in Information technology.Work Timings: 2pm to 11:30pm IST (This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose.
