Organizational Overview:Credit Team decisions credit actions across the lifecycle of a customer xe2x80x93 from acquisition to account management to collections and recovery xe2x80x93 we work towards managing credit and fraud losses and elevating customer experience through powerful and proprietary insights on customer risk and credit behaviors. The actionable insights are driven by access to numerous alternative data sources, new age technologies, focused strategies, emerging algorithms, and predictive precision. Spread across 10 pillars the credit team in India caters to the entire gamut of decision sciences, from data management to model development to strategy design, and bringing it all to life through technology, and managing within the guardrails of our regulatory requirements. As part of the team, you will have access to some unique product propositions, functional and leadership training, interaction with executive leadership team and a myriad of diverse perspectives.Role Summary/Purpose:VP, Collections Strategy will be responsible for developing, delivering and performance monitoring of collections contact strategies and tests that mitigate losses and improve roll rate and net flow performances, reduce operational expenses, ensure federal and state-level compliance, or improve customer experience. The VP also manages a team of 4 analysts performing like tasks on mainstream, Skip, and B2B collections across all traditional and alternate contact channels. The VP initiates and leads these projects from beginning to end, collaborating with stakeholders inside and outside Strategy Org, with a high degree of rigor throughout. The position reports into VP, Credit Strategy Leader, within the India Credit Organization.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead or support strategy changes and tests aimed at mitigating losses and improving collections performance, reducing operational expenses, adhering to federal and state compliance requirements, and improving the overall customer experience; utilize traditional and alternate contact strategiesxe2x80x94including dialer, DMO, IVR, e-mails, texts/SMS, and lettersxe2x80x94with an ongoing focus on driving digital and self-service.
  • Lead or support the development of new creatives / messages.
  • Lead or support various new portfolios/products as part of larger NCI/NPI teams, including partnering with C&R Development team, Collections Strategy Delivery and validation teams to ensure strategies are implemented correctly.
  • Lead or support strategy development for new federal and state regulatory changes, as required.
  • Propose new strategies and tests, perform data analyses supporting the same, and gain approval from tollgates; performance monitor tests and periodically analyze, document, and present the results.
  • Collaborate with other resources across the Strategy organization with respect to gaining approval to implement new strategies and tests; partner with Change Governance, Legal, Compliance, Fair Lending, and other leaders across the Business to secure additional approvals.
  • Collaborate with Strategy Delivery on all aspects of implementing tests and strategies.
  • Support internal and external exams, audits, and reviews; apply corrective action as necessary.
  • Complete regular reviews of strategies and tests with Legal, Compliance, and Fair Lending to ensure strategies comply with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and company policies.
  • Lead or support ongoing processes within Strategy, including but not necessarily limited to strategy sheet submissions and strategy sheet maintenance, CST inventory, and Capacity impacts resulting from new tests and strategies; propose changes and other process improvements.
  • Ensure Strategy documentation is comprehensive, accurate and always current.
  • Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects and analyses, as requested.
  • Support new client and new product initiatives, as necessary.
  • Mentor India strategy team members on projects / business questions serving as primary delegate for manager
  • Perform other duties, as necessary.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
  • Bachelor's degree with quantitative underpinning (i.e., Data Science, Computer Science, Risk, Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering) with 10+ years of experience in Analytics ideally in support of Risk, Credit, Consumer Lending, or other relevant professional experience; OR in lieu of a degree, 12+ years of experience in Analytics ideally in support of Risk, Credit, Consumer Lending, or other relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in SAS, SQL, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • 3+ years of designing, managing, and performance monitoring champion-challenger tests; prior experience running t-tests and interpreting and communicating results.
  • Ability to work with large or complex datasets.
  • Experience working with cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong PC proficiency (Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong self-starter balanced with desire to achieve team goals.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with uncompromising integrity and confidentiality.

  • Prior Collection Strategy Development or Credit Strategy Development/ Risk Management experience
  • 5+ years demonstrated success developing and delivering advanced analytics solutions
  • Master's degree in a Quantitative Related Field
  • Proven analytical and decision-making skills
  • Experience developing scoring models or decision-tree segmentations
  • Ability to independently manage processes, Self-motivated and drive continuous process improvement
  • Strong communications, problem solving skills & attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to apply strategic thinking toward tactical execution
  • Experience working with cross-functional project teams

This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose.
