Role Responsibilities Job Summary The Cloud Portfolio Finance Lead is responsible for managing the financial health of an organization in order to promote success and growth while working closely with our Finance Partner in maintaining banks\' financial practices. This role will support the Cloud Transformation Office in developing and implementing financial plans, monitoring financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, as well as capitalising on opportunities to support efficiency solutions that will meet Cloud budgets, investments and stretches. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in financial analysis and strategic planning. By analyzing day-to-day financial activities with precision, you will provide valuable insights and recommendations to the Cloud Transformation Office and Cloud Management Team. Your guidance will empower the Cloud Transformation Office and Management Team to make informed decisions that align with the organization\'s long-term goals. Responsibilities Strategy Leads planning and forecasting activities with Cloud Transformation Office and Management Team to achieve Cloud performance objectives. Works with the Hive, Sub-domain, Domain leadership to support governance and reporting for a consolidated view across the Hive, Business or Function Unit. Ensure any new major changes to the prioritized product backlog (within 90-day cycle) are reported to RF (Refinement Forum) for approval and subsequently submit to MPR / QPR (Quarterly Performance Review) for approval on the impact to OKRs, cost and timeline shift on the 90-day approved commitments Business Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action including clarity updates, reports, capitalization, variance, underspends, cost plans etc. Advising on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take. Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, spend against the Cloud Team\'s actual performance compared to the business plans. Conduct reviews and evaluations as well as monitor cloud usage and spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure all required approved SOWs / contracts are in-place to procure vendor resource / infrastructure including management of the vendor payments. Engage Country Finance teams and understand budget requirements across regions and budget types. Preparing financial status reports for management review. Design and drive cloud service usage, pricing models, and purchasing options. Processes Identify opportunities for efficiencies / process simplification and optimization. Continue to evolve and embed best practices in finance areas. Ensure vendor relationships are appropriately managed and deliver value. Consistently measure and assess processes to ensure optimal function. Have awareness of and understand all of the relevant regulatory frameworks for the markets in which Standard Chartered operate. Ensure compliance with all salient Standard Chartered governance frameworks. Embed Agile methodology and principles in the enterprise, reflected in mindset and culture changes. People & Talent Workforce management of resources/allocations/skill-base for existing pool of resources. Including updating aXess, tracking and supporting hiring needs. Support Cloud Portfolio on onboarding new staff required for Cloud projects. Risk Management Proactive in seeking regular assurance that the teams are performing to an acceptable risk and control standard. Act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and escalated through the relevant committees. Balance business performance delivery and cost management constraints with risk and control matters to ensure that they do not materially threaten the Group\'s ability to remain within risk appetite Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment within Cloud Platforms & Services Present Financial details to Steering Committees or Refinement Forums with variances (underspends / overspends). Delivery Risk Governance (Monitor Risk and Issues Registers. Ensure consistent Risk and Issue management across the Hive or Sub-domain or Domain). Support CPOs to respond to audit/GIA/external audit etc. Governance Ensure compliance with all salient SC governance frameworks where there are direct touchpoints with them or any subsequent downstream influence on Cloud Teams. Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role. Stay aware of changing regulatory landscape so that we can proactively manage the emerging requirements. Ensure compliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements. This includes compliance with local banking laws and anti-money laundering regulations and guidelines Establish control across the Steering Committees and Refinement Forums (or a Hive governance forum) and maintain the governance framework and strategy for the robust and efficient management of strategic investments in compliance with Change Delivery Standards. Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus Excellent knowledge of project management strategies, processes, and tools. Ability to analyse a range of complex data and make decisions based on analytical findings. Great computer skills and knowledge of PMO software tools, such as Clarity, MS Project, MS Planner, etc. Strong program coordination and administration abilities. Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Solid communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
