Introduction:
Expert level knowledge is required in understanding different enterprise data sets (Ref data, Master data) and transactional data sets that are of poor quality.
Be dynamic enough to produce a framework to decipher the root cause of poor-quality data in the form of system limitations, sourcing issues, process and control gaps.
Expert level understanding is required of raw data at its origination point, its transformational layers across systems, processes before it is made final for reporting purposes, especially for critical Banking products like Derivatives, Loans and other Investment Banking products.
Summarize recommendations for root cause of gaps coming out of the framework and produce Business priorities for Business\\Ops and Tech teams to remediate the gaps across data lineage.
Demonstrate SME knowledge about controls, its purpose and be able to define newer controls where necessary. Ability to understand Data quality controls as per Global Data Management Standards applicable for Enterprise-wide critical data elements in reference data space.
What will you be doing?
Expert level understanding of meta data, critical data elements and data lineage for Enterprise Reference Data.
Execution of DQ controls, produce DQ metrics on effectiveness of controls.
Dynamically create a framework for transparent reporting on health of controls, gaps identified, path to green to remediate gaps.
Accountable for the attestation of meta data, critical data elements and data lineage for reference data.
Accountable for the maintenance of data quality issue inventory that impacts consuming data domains.
What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:
Hold a master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance with 12-15 years of work experience in a Banking and Financial Services industry, largely handling the purpose of the role stated above under Overall purpose of role.
Expert level experience in handling of data elements, meta data, data lineage for complex Banking product structures like Derivatives, IB Lending etc that go through financial reporting, risk & liquidity (asset\\liability management) reporting.
Expert level understanding of regulatory and non-regulatory controls and its importance in financial services. Degree and relevant experience within comparable banking environment, preferably in control roles within Risk, Finance or Treasury.
Strong problem-solving ability & analytical skills to factually decipher issues impacting various domains.
Strong understanding of front to back system architecture and E2E processes and controls.
Proactive and willing to take full ownership of deliverables. Proven ability to deal with large data sets (e.g. excel files).
Ability to handle time critical activities and balance priorities to meet tight deadlines.
Holds a professional qualification (CA\\CMA). Strong/Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complicated issues to management and other impacted areas and ensure timely resolution of breaks and issues.
