The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers who support the organization\xe2\x80\x99s operations. This includes developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and motivate volunteers; assessing volunteers\xe2\x80\x99 qualifications; establishing guidelines for volunteer roles; conducting background checks; and developing volunteer appreciation programs.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate all aspects of volunteer recruitment, training, and management
2. Develop recruitment materials and strategies for recruiting volunteers
3. Establish guidelines for volunteer roles and responsibilities
4. Conduct background checks as appropriate
5. Communicate with existing volunteers to ensure their needs are being met
6. Develop recognition programs to reward outstanding volunteer work
7. Ensure that all volunteers are kept up to date on changes in organizational policies
8. Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities
9. Foster a positive working relationship with all stakeholders, including staff, board members, donors, and other key constituencies
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role or in the nonprofit sector.
Demonstrated success in recruiting and managing volunteers.
