Role Overview:

e-Rad is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator with experience in virtualization technologies to plan, manage, and support U.S.-based radiologists and Indian scribes with technical issues. The role involves maintaining an Oracle-based VDI environment, addressing hardware, network, and software issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of radiology PACS that run on the VDI infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in virtualization, remote access solutions, and Windows OS applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oracle-Based VDI Environment Management:

Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot issues in the Oracle-based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).

Resolve performance and connectivity issues experienced by radiologists using multiple monitors with the VDI setup.

2. Radiology PACS Support:

Address technical issues related to radiology PACS systems operating within the VDI environment.

Ensure seamless integration and functionality for radiologists accessing PACS systems.

3. Network and Connectivity Support:

Diagnose and resolve network-related issues affecting remote access to the VDI environment.

Collaborate with IT teams to ensure reliable network performance for U.S.-based radiologists and Indian scribes.

4. Hardware and Peripheral Support:

Provide support for hardware issues, including monitors, PCs, and other peripheral devices.

Assist radiologists with setup and troubleshooting of multi-monitor configurations.

5. Remote Access Application Management:

Manage and troubleshoot remote access applications like TeamViewer and other connectivity tools.

Ensure secure and uninterrupted access to VDI environments for users.

6. Windows OS and Application Support:

Provide technical assistance for Windows-based applications, including MS Office 365.

Manage software installations, updates, and issue resolution.

7. Technical Documentation and Reporting:

Document technical processes, issue resolutions, and best practices for the IT team and end-users.

Generate and share periodic reports on system performance and incidents.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in system administration with a focus on virtualization technologies.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in Oracle-based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).

Strong understanding of radiology PACS systems.

Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and applications (e.g., MS 365).

Hands-on experience with remote access applications like TeamViewer.

Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting network-related issues.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills to support U.S.-based radiologists and Indian scribes.

Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Oracle Virtualization).

Experience working in healthcare IT environments.

Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and security practices.
