We are seeking a skilled VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Machine Operator to join our production team in Bagru, Jaipur. The role involves operating and programming VMC machines to produce high-precision components while adhering to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of machining processes, programming, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup and Operation:
• Set up and operate VMC machines for milling, drilling, and other operations.
• Configure tooling, workholding devices, and machine settings based on job requirements.
• Load raw materials and manage operations for consistent production output.
• Programming and Adjustments:
• Write, edit, and verify VMC programs using G-code and M-code.
• Adjust machine parameters and optimize processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop and implement new programs.
• Blueprint Interpretation:
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Translate specifications into precise machining processes.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Ensure components meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
• Diagnose and resolve machine errors and alarms.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure smooth operation of VMC machines.
• Monitor tool wear and replace as needed to maintain precision.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free workspace.
• Adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
• Stay updated on advancements in VMC technology and machining techniques.
• Team Collaboration:
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to meet production deadlines.
• Provide feedback on machine performance and workflow enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge:
• Proficiency in VMC machine operations and programming (G-code, M-code).
• Understanding of machine tools, tooling, and workholding devices.
• Operational Expertise:
• Ability to set up and operate VMC machines with precision.
• Knowledge of material properties and machining characteristics.
• Quality Assurance Skills:
• Competence in using precision instruments for inspection.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Problem-Solving:
• Effective troubleshooting and resolution of machine errors and alarms.
• Physical Abilities:
• Capability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Adaptability and Learning:
• Willingness to learn new processes, techniques, and technologies.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• VMC machining and programming certifications (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
• Training in safety protocols, quality control, and machine maintenance.
• Additional Skills:
• Basic math and geometry knowledge.
• Familiarity with CNC control systems and production scheduling.
