They perform sophisticated medical and surgical procedures, including delicate surgeries on tissue thinner than a butterfly's wing. They may also teach and conduct clinical research. Skills:- Vitreoretinal surgeons should be well versed with all ophthalmology procedures and have experience with clinical and diagnostic methodologies of the retina.
