Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable part-time faculty member to teach Hotel Accountancy to 4th-semester students in the B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Management program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, particularly within the hospitality sector, and be able to convey complex financial concepts to students in an engaging and understandable manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver comprehensive lectures and practical sessions on Hotel Accountancy as per the syllabus.
• Teach students the principles of accounting, financial reporting, and cost control specific to the hospitality industry.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assignments that are aligned with the program's objectives.
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Encourage active student participation through case studies, problem-solving exercises, and discussions.
• Stay updated with industry trends to incorporate relevant examples and practices into the curriculum.
• Assist students in understanding the importance of financial management in hotel operations.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure an integrated learning experience.
• Mentor students in projects and assignments related to hotel financial operations.
• Ensure timely submission of reports and grades as per university guidelines.
Qualifications:
• A Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Hotel Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to break down complex financial concepts into simple, relatable terms.
• Familiarity with accounting software and hotel management systems is a plus.
Working Hours:
• Part-time, with classes scheduled on weekdays based on the academic calendar.
• Compensation: INR 500-700 per hour.
