Communications Technology Group (CTG) Group, is recruiting R&D Software Development Engineers to build products, and solutions and deliver value to the customers.
In HPE CTG, you will join a highly experienced R&D team using modern technologies and techniques thru agile methodologies to strengthen the current solution but also be part of building the future of HPE, ensuring the
highest level of quality and efficiency: sub-millisecond processing times, 99.999+% availability, high-performance computing. Together we are spearheading the organization and the company in this Mobility world.
The candidate will ideally have good testing experience and subject matter knowledge to help deliver good quality complex business solutions in either Telecom Carrier Cloud, Network Function Virtualization Solutions
and/or virtualization, cloud, and Core Networking.
Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is a telecommunication service provider (CSP) business and architectural initiative to greatly reduce the capital and operational expenditure needed to build and operate telecommunications networks. The premise of NFV is that aggressive and systematic adoption of IT business models and open architectures based on IT technologies will achieve these goals

Responsibilities:

  • Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
  • Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
  • Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.
  • Participates as a member of a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for assigned systems portions or subsystems.
  • Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
About the Role:

The candidate should have good Container Orchestration hands-on experience and subject matter knowledge to help deliver good quality complex business solutions in either Telecom Carrier Cloud, Network Function Virtualization Solutions and/or Virtualization, Cloud and Core Networking.

Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 7-12 years of experience in IT Industry
Mandatory Skill:
  • Experience on Cloud deployment and operations - RedHat Openstack, Vmware TCA etc...
  • Experience on Containers Orchestration deployment and operations - Kubernetes / Openshift / TCP etc...
  • Good knowledge in Python and Ansible Automation
  • Knowledge on Linux systems
  • Hands on experience on Container/Cloud debugging and RCA
  • Must be able to work effectively in a geographically-distributed teams including vendors and partners
Secondary Skill:
  • A background of HPE and other vendor's Servers, Networking and Storage is a plus
  • Knowledge on Virtualization is a plus
