Video/News Anchor Role Description

The Video/News Anchor serves as the face and voice of the broadcast, responsible for delivering news stories with clarity, confidence, and authority. This role demands a high level of professionalism, deep knowledge of current events, and the ability to connect with a wide audience. The anchor is expected to engage viewers by presenting news in a compelling, unbiased, and accurate manner, following journalistic ethics and standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. News Presentation

- Deliver news stories and updates accurately and professionally on-air.

- Engage and connect with the audience through clear and confident communication.

- Maintain composure during live broadcasts, handling unexpected events or breaking news.

2. Content Preparation

- Collaborate with the news team, including producers, reporters, and editors, to ensure cohesive storytelling.

- Review scripts, reports, and information before going live to ensure accuracy and clarity.

- Conduct interviews and moderate discussions on various topics with subject matter experts.

3. Research and Analysis

- Stay informed on current events, both local and global, by conducting thorough research.

- Prepare insightful commentary and background information to add context to news stories.

- Fact-check information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?8,000.00 - ?15,000.00 per month
