Job Description

SOME BASIC KRA's

• Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
• Use editing techniques to maintain continuity and flow throughout the film.
• Arrange scenes in a logical and engaging order to enhance the overall narrative.
• Ensure that all elements are integrated seamlessly to enhance the overall viewing experience.
• Ensure that the project follows a logical sequence that aligns with the storyline.
• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes' value and contribution to continuity
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
• Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.
• Ability to work under tight schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of projects.
• Present a portfolio of completed film productions, showcasing editing skills and creativity.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using editing software and a comprehensive understanding of the post-production process.
• Showcase a keen understanding of storytelling through visual elements and an ability to enhance the emotional impact of a film.
• Provide examples of projects where initial concepts were successfully realized in the final edited product.

Requirements and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.
• Previous work experience as a video editor.
• Creative and artistic skills.
• Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.
• Portfolio of completed film productions.
• Ability to work to a tight schedule.
• Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?300,000.00 per year
