Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work with a variety of video formats. As a Video Editor, you will work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to create engaging video content that meets project specifications and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished videos using industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Storytelling: Ensure that the final video aligns with the project's vision and enhances storytelling by selecting the best shots and sequences.
• Post-Production: Apply effects, transitions, sound, music, color grading, and visual enhancements to create a cohesive final product.
• Audio Editing: Sync and adjust audio, apply sound effects, and ensure overall audio quality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with directors, producers, and content creators to understand the desired outcome and adjust edits as needed.
• File Management: Maintain organized project files, backups, and ensure smooth workflow throughout the editing process.
• Revisions: Make adjustments and revisions to videos based on feedback from clients, stakeholders, or team members.
• Deadline Management: Work efficiently to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:

• Education: A degree in Film, Video Production, Media, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a portfolio showcasing your editing skills across various video projects.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.).
• Knowledge of color grading, sound mixing, and audio editing tools.
• Familiarity with video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
• Creative Skills: Strong understanding of visual composition, timing, pacing, and storytelling.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to notice small details and make precise edits to enhance the overall quality of the video.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to work effectively with team members and clients.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues with video footage or editing software and find solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in animation, motion graphics, or visual effects.
• Familiarity with other multimedia tools like After Effects, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in specific genres such as documentaries, commercials, music videos, or corporate videos.
