Key Responsibilities:
1. Video Editing : Edit raw video footage into concise and engaging video packages, news clips, features, and promos using non-linear editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). Ensure videos are optimized for online viewing and adhere to the portal's style and tone.
2. Multi-platform Distribution : Adapt video content for distribution across various digital platforms, including the web portal, social media channels (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Instagram), and mobile applications. Optimize videos for different formats, aspect ratios, and playback settings to maximize engagement and reach.
3. Graphics and Visual Effects : Enhance video content with relevant graphics, lower-thirds, text overlays, and visual effects to provide context, highlight key information, and maintain audience interest. Ensure visual elements are consistent with the portal's branding and design standards.
4. Audience Engagement : Monitor audience feedback, analytics, and trends to identify opportunities for video content optimization and audience engagement. Experiment with different formats, storytelling approaches, and interactive features to attract and retain viewers.
5. Collaboration : Work closely with content creators, journalists, producers, and graphic designers to coordinate video production workflows and achieve editorial objectives. Communicate effectively to address feedback, iterate on video edits, and meet project deadline.
Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience as a video editor, preferably in a digital media or online publishing environment.
Proficiency in non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Knowledge of digital video formats, compression standards, and online video distribution platforms.
Familiarity with social media trends, algorithms, and best practices for video content engagement.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
