Job Overview :
We are looking for a dynamic and creative Video Editor who specializes in creating engaging Instagram Reels , and other short-form video content. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of current social media trends, possess excellent editing skills, and be able to produce captivating, shareable videos that resonate with a wide audience. As a Reels-focused video editor, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, exciting content that can go viral on various social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
• Reels & Short-Form Content Creation : Edit short, punchy videos (Reels, YouTube Shorts) using existing footage or new material, ensuring they align with current trends, audience preferences, and platform requirements.
• Creative Editing : Incorporate effects, transitions, music, and text overlays to make videos engaging, memorable, and shareable.
• Platform Optimization : Ensure all videos are optimized for specific platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), including aspect ratios, video lengths, and file formats.
• Trend Awareness : Stay up-to-date with current trends, popular music, challenges, and viral video formats to keep content relevant and fresh.
• Collaborate with Content Creators : Work closely with influencers, marketers, and social media teams to align video edits with campaign goals, brand voice, and audience engagement strategies.
• Audio and Visual Synchronization : Edit videos to sync with trending audio tracks, ensuring timing and rhythm enhance the video's impact.
• Brand Consistency : Ensure that each video aligns with the brand's image and messaging, maintaining consistency across all content.
• Test and Review : Monitor the performance of edited videos (e.g., engagement, views, shares) to refine editing techniques and improve future content.
Required Qualifications :
• Proven experience as a video editor, with a portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous social media editing work (specifically Reels, YouTube Shorts).
• Expertise in using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro , Final Cut Pro , DaVinci Resolve , or similar programs.
• Experience in editing for social media platforms, particularly Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Strong understanding of social media trends, memes, and content that performs well on various platforms.
• Proficient in sound design and working with audio tracks to enhance video content.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing content needs.
• Familiarity with the specific technical requirements of different platforms (e.g., aspect ratios, file sizes, length limits).
Preferred Qualifications :
• Knowledge of motion graphics and animation (e.g., After Effects).
• Ability to produce content that adheres to platform algorithms and maximizes engagement.
• Experience in creating content for different types of brands or industries (e.g., fashion, tech, lifestyle, etc.).
• A strong sense of visual storytelling and an understanding of audience behavior on social media.
• Experience with social media analytics tools to track and improve content performance.
