What you will do:
Storyful's newsroom has been working at the intersection of social media, news and technology to help media organizations tell the stories that matter most. As we expand the breadth and depth of our coverage, we are seeking a Video Buyers to join our team in New Delhi. As a Video Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in acquiring content that aligns with our business goals and ethos. Your expertise in trends, pop culture, and video-sharing platforms will help us navigate the ever-evolving internet landscape.
Role Overview: As a Video Buyer, you will be essential in identifying,evaluating and acquiring the rights of videos with viral potential. Your keen eye for engaging content will help us meet our creative and business objectives in the ever-changing landscape of the Internet
Key Responsibilities:
Research and acquire compelling user-generated video content from various platforms (social media, YouTube, etc.).
Reach out to video owners and negotiate video rights acquisitions, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
Collaborate with internal teams to execute agreements and ensure compliance with intellectual property laws.
Analyze video content trends and identify potential high-impact content for licensing.
Track the performance of acquired videos and provide insights into content trends.
Qualifications:
+ A minimum of 2 years of experience in UGC, video content acquisition, media buying, or sales, preferably in the digital media industry.
+ Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a passion for user-generated content.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deals simultaneously.
+ Familiarity with emerging trends in video and internet culture, with experience across multiple video-sharing platforms.
+ Strong communication skills to effectively convey insights and recommendations to the team.
+ Familiarity with intellectual property rights and licensing processes.
