: Vice Principal

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Vice Principal to join our team. The Vice Principal will work closely with the principal to provide leadership and support in the overall management and administration of the school. This role requires a balance of administrative expertise, instructional leadership, and a focus on student welfare.

Roles & Responsibilities

Administrative Leadership

• Collaborate with the Principal and school governing body in the overall management and administration of the school.
• Develop, implement, and enforce school policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Address and resolve student behaviour issues, ensuring the enforcement of school rules and disciplinary policies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, including developing and implementing emergency response plans.
• Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of school events and activities.
• Prepare and manage reports on student achievement, attendance, and behaviour, providing data-driven insights for improvement.
• Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the principal.

Instructional Leadership

• Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the school's curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
• Collaborate with Academic coordinator/ teachers on instructional strategies, curriculum planning, and assessment methodologies.
• Conduct classroom observations, providing constructive feedback and guidance to teachers to enhance teaching practices.
• Support teacher recruitment, orientation, professional development, and retention initiatives.
• Analyse student performance data to inform instructional strategies and drive academic improvement.
• Stay updated on new educational trends and incorporate them into school practices as appropriate.

Student Welfare

• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive school culture in collaboration with teachers and staff.
• Work with parents and guardians to address student behaviour concerns and maintain open communication regarding student progress.
• Oversee student services, including counselling, support programs, and extracurricular activities, ensuring a holistic approach to student development.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding school activities, achievements, and updates.
• Organize and participate in parent-teacher conferences and meetings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the local community, external stakeholders, and the school governing body.
• Represent the school at community events and external engagements.

Operational Oversight

• Coordinate and supervise student affairs activities, including attendance management and discipline enforcement.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain an effective and positive working relationship.
• Ensure effective coordination and supervision of extracurricular activities and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the School Governing Board.

Required Skills

• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of teachers, staff, and students.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with parents, staff, and the community.

Problem-Solving: Skilled in resolving conflicts, addressing challenges, and implementing effective solutions.

Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and ensuring efficient operations.

Knowledgeable: Familiarity with current educational trends, policies, and best practices.
