Structured hybrid role:

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction:

This role is responsible for managing the LEC function and related businesses and products and driving resolution of key business issues. Additionally, the role will also be responsible for managing the FC wide Projects including the following:

• Legal entity reporting- Statutory as well as Financial reporting
• Practical exposure of IFRS (including IFRS 9, 13, 15, 16 etc.)
• Ensure robust Control environment
• Analyse/review/drive FC projects
• Legal Entity Control activities
• Stakeholder management
• Team management




What will you be doing?

Main accountabilities as follows:

• Legal entity/Group reporting for Barclays' businesses.
• Fair knowledge of LEC function including month close processes, account reconciliation and substantiation, etc.
• Provide subject matter expertise to key stakeholders (Finance Director, control teams, financial business


partners, Finance Operations).

• Ensuring the integrity of Financial Statement including setting up and maintaining a robust control framework.
• Ensures the integrity of the numbers to enable the attestation process.
• Drive/review/analyse/implementation of FC projects for various Barclays' businesses. Recommends change and raises change requests, as necessary.
• Partner with stakeholders on solution when dealing with issues/ challenges raised by them.
• Aptitude to deal with adhoc initiatives /work streams under stringent timelines




What we're looking for:

• Fair knowledge of LEC function including month close processes, account reconciliation and substantiation, etc.
• Proven experience in a senior finance role with a focus on stakeholder management, book closure, collaboration, and automation
• Understanding of end to end control environment.
• Requires knowledge of system architecture and project methodology
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Additional qualification e.g. CA, ACCA, CPA, MBA or equivalent

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Capability to understand and comprehend requirements and converting them into implementable modules per project requirements
• Strong financial background experience including exposure to IFRSs and external/regulatory reporting or Financial Control function for large scale organisation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both formal and informal settings & ability to interact with the global team (written and verbal)
• Delivered or working on transformation initiatives
