Job Requisition ID #24WD80361Position OverviewAs we continue to expand our presence in India, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Vice President, Technology General Manager, India.As the India Engineering Country Leader at Autodesk, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Your role is pivotal in cultivating a vibrant and inclusive work culture that positions Autodesk as an employer of choice in India. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering an atmosphere that promotes innovation, collaboration, and excellence, thereby attracting and retaining top talent in the region.Your responsibilities extend to overseeing a dynamic engineering team specializing in designing features and solutions tailored to the local market. This will be achieved through close collaboration with Autodesk's Go-to-Market (GTM) and product leadership teams. Your role is not just about management but also about inspiration creating an environment where innovation thrives and Autodesk's reputation flourishes.You will build strong relationships with GTM leaders to learn from Autodesks top customers and partners in India, understanding their needs, pain points, and product gaps. You will work with corporate teams to help address these gaps and further expand Autodesk in India. You will also serve as Autodesk's ambassador to Indias academic institutions, fostering partnerships and initiatives that elevate Autodesk's brand and build connections with the next generation of talent.From an engineering standpoint, you will serve as a liaison to GTM leadership for the India market, identifying expansion opportunities and driving a comprehensive engineering strategy to penetrate key segments.You will be part of the CIOs staff, a global, multi-site leadership team. You will be responsible for executing strategies and activities that align with business objectives and support the achievement of corporate goals.This role is hybrid and based in Bangalore. It will involve 25-30% domestic travel, as well as quarterly travel to our US locations.ResponsibilitiesLeadership & ManagementSite/Country LeadershipProvide visionary leadership to the engineering teams in India, fostering a culture of safety, diversity, and inclusion, and promoting a positive and engaging work environmentOversee all aspects of the India site council, including budget management, resource allocation, and facilities managementSet clear goals and objectives for the India site council, driving performance to achieve business targetsEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and company policies and proceduresStrengthen Autodesks reputation and brand with customers, government agencies, and local talent, serving as an ambassador for the company, our mission, and valuesPartner with the Autodesk Education team to raise brand awareness in India and establish relationships with top academic institutions, fostering collaborations, research partnerships, and talent acquisition initiatives, while promoting Autodesk as an industry leaderDirect Engineering ManagementOversee a dedicated, innovative engineering team focused on developing solutions tailored to the local market in India. Guide the team's focus on enhancing product features that address unique customer requirements and preferences in the countryLead a shared services group responsible for steering collaboration across all vertical product teams, ensuring that products and services meet the strategic market needs and specific demands of customers in IndiaLead recruitment efforts to build and develop a high-performing engineering team in India, creating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellenceEngineering ExcellenceServe as the primary executive engineering contact for our top 20 customers in India, acting as a trusted advisor and technical expertLiaise with GTM and corporate product leadership to communicate customer feedback, requirements, and market insights, influencing product development based on customer requests and local market needsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and performance, exceeding customer expectationsLeadership CapabilitiesVisionary Leadership: The ability to articulate a clear vision for the company's growth and expansion in India from an engineering and customer-centric perspective and inspire the engineering team and other stakeholders to work towards that visionStrategic Thinking: The capacity to think strategically, analyze market trends and opportunities, and develop innovative plans and initiatives to achieve business objectivesCollaboration and Team Building: A strong collaborator who can build and lead diverse teams, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, and empower team members to perform at their bestBoundary Spanning: The ability to facilitate open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders, and engage others to work across teams, functions, and disciplinesCustomer Focus: A customer-centric mindset with a keen understanding of customer needs and preferences, and a commitment to delivering exceptional value and serviceMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree (M.
