This is what #LifeAtBNY is all about.Were seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Line of Business Risk 1 covering Finance teams Risk and Control activities within the Finance First Line of Defense team. This role will be based in Pune, India and will report to the Finance First Line of Defense India Lead.This role will be responsible for the following activities: * Support in creating and publishing a monthly Finance issues report by collating and consolidating information from various sources. Perform follow-up on past-due issues, trainings, certifications, etc with appropriate staff members and their managers.

  • Design and support the creation of quarterly HLAs that review the operational and other risks faced by Finance. Work with various stakeholders, discussing items of importance, creating the commentary that is input into Risk Management Platform, and following up on any action items.
  • Drive the annual CCAR Ops Risk Scenario Analysis and ensure it is completed within the deadline. Work with various stakeholders to develop and create workshop scenarios, minutes of meetings, include feedback, ensure accurate documentation of templates, evidence collating from various stakeholders in the scenario analysis process.
  • Facilitate and drive BCBS239 Standard Governance within the Finance teams, create awareness, review proposed in scope reports, facilitate automation, decommissioning of the reports.
  • Ensure various stakeholders and owners update the Key Risk Indicators / Kep Performance Indicators with appropriate commentary in the risk management platform within deadline.
  • Execute Joiner/Leavers checks for all employees in Finance, update and maintain current standard operating procedure for the joiner leaver process.
  • Execute and maintain the Personal Securities Trading Classification for Finance employees as per the policy. Follow up with ethics, compliance, people managers for appropriate assignment.
  • Support the Evidence Based Control Assessment and facilitate with various stakeholders to ensure that the testing is completed within timeline.
  • Drive or support ad hoc projects related to Risk and Compliance efforts for Finance
  • This position has no direct reports.
To be successful in this role, were seeking the following:
  • 7-9 years of Risk, Controls, Compliance, Audit, Finance, Reporting, Project Management, or Consulting experience with a recognized company
  • Strong knowledge of Reporting with experience in business analysis / ability to review and synthesize data.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Should have strong knowledge of MS Excel. Should be able to demonstrate ability to quickly analyze and manipulate complex spreadsheets
  • Problem solving capabilities and strong documentation, communication skills both verbal and non-verbal. Should be able to develop strong networking skills to build relationships with global stakeholders in multiple time zones
  • Flexibility, multi-tasking ability and willingness to work with changing priorities in a complex and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to self-manage workload and goals independently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven organization
