We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President -Institutional Sales.


Principal responsibilities


• Work with global team on-Creating Thematic Equity baskets based on upcoming themes and themes highlighted by HSBC research
• Sending regular Thematic investment idea emails and the monthly update email to the wider sales group
• Keeping a track of latest HSBC research and finding relevant research for existing baskets
• Handling bespoke client request for Thematic ideas to be pitched
• Maintaining the Bloomberg Thematic Equity page and granting access relevant stakeholders
• Conducting bi-weekly Thematic equity call where a new Thematic idea is pitched internally
• Making sure all marketing material is updated to be shared with salesperson
• Ensuring the efficient running of the relevant Thematic business front-to-back activities within role remit
Requirements
• Come up with market relevant baskets/ideas based on client requests and HSBC research
• Try to help convert the ideas pitched into executed trade. Once executed, keep track of the sales revenue generated
• Guide and manage the juniors in the team
• Ensure stakeholder satisfaction through timely delivery of quality work
• Timely completion of tasks and successful execution of transactions; Adequately work on projects and initiatives leading to proven process or functionality improvement
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in finance or a relevant quantitative subject; Prior experience in Equity Strategy/Research
• High level understanding of financial derivatives and financial markets; Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively; Manage deadlines, escalate issues promptly, and prioritize workload
• Desire to work as a team player. Ability and experience to lead the team would be appreciable; Strong with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Programming skills in VBA and Python
• Ability to distil complex and varied data into information, good process analysis and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in an Investment Banking environment is desirable; Prior experience interacting with senior stakeholders is desirable
• Flexibility to adapt to UK / US / HK hours
