Head of HR AI/ML Data Preparation (Vice President)

Job summary

As part of our ongoing digital and cloud transformation within Human Resources, we are seeking a Head of HR Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Data Preparation (Vice President), reporting to the Global Head of HR Data Asset Management. In this role, you will build and lead a team to develop and implement quantitative approaches and work processes that will proactively monitor and ensure the correctness of the key workforce data used in our AI/ML models and throughout the firm. You will work with AI/ML teams and HR Data Risk Management, to understand the relative importance of data elements within our overall data model, and you will work with Technology and Data Operations teams to productionize the quantitative algorithms, systems, and processes that you develop.

Job responsibilities

  • Build and lead the HR AI/ML Data Preparation team to develop algorithms to enable the preparation of data for AI/ML modeling at enterprise scale.
  • Develop, in partnership with HR\'s Technology and AI/ML teams, scalable quantitative processes and systems, leveraging statistical and/or AI/ML approaches, to prepare the entirety of the firm\'s data for AI/ML modeling and statistical analysis.
  • Detect both anomalous data elements and sudden changes in data distributions.
  • Develop, in partnership with Data Operations teams, work processes that classify anomalies into either errors to be corrected, or true changes to be surfaced for business awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable control requirements.
  • Manage the team\'s budget, resources, and timelines.
  • Communicate data quality issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Strong background in applied mathematics and statistics.
  • Strong hands-on experience with data analysis, using standard tools, such as SQL, python, and common open source libraries.
  • Familiarity with database technologies, data modelling, and data integration techniques, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience working in large scale corporate data ecosystems, resolving inconsistencies and challenges in the data.
  • Experience in understanding and following the Agile methodology.
  • Master\'s degree or greater in quantitative field with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience working in cloud based programming environments.
  • Comfortable manipulating and summarizing large quantities of data.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and its applications.
  • Ability to deliver high quality results under tight deadlines
Knowledge of HR processes, data, and concepts
