About this opportunity Ericsson is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time U.S. Vice President, for Government and Policy Advocacy, based in the company\'s Washington, DC office. This role will serve as a key advisor in Ericsson\'s North American government relations team responsible for leading policy advocacy with the FCC, NTIA, State Department and the Administration. This position reports to the North American Vice President of Government and Industry Relations and works closely with the Sweden-based government relations team on both day-to-day tasks and long-term strategic planning. At the final step, the position reports to the Global Head of Global Policy and Advocacy. In this capacity, he/she must be able to attain a comprehensive understanding of and act on the objectives and key results of Ericsson. The Vice President must be a strategic thinker with strong government relations experience, leverage a wide network within the U.S. telecommunications policy community, and possess excellent judgment and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with a wide range of audiences (e.g., internal Ericsson leadership, U.S. government officials, trade associations, etc.). What you will do Lead execution of all strategic advocacy efforts before the FCC, NTIA, State Department and the Administration Develop and advocate policy positions in areas including broadband, spectrum, infrastructure deployment, security, geopolitics, and other regulatory matters, Maintain and develop relationships with telecom regulators and relevant U.S. Administration personnel Prepare executive briefing materials for meetings and public policy engagements Engage with geopolitical foras such as TTC, etc. Identify and respond to emerging regulations affecting the company Work closely with various trade associations and industry coalitions Prepare detailed memos for team members and company executives Manage, lead strategy and prepare agency comments, RFP responses, etc. Be a thought leader, speak at industry conferences, panels, on telecom policy issues You will bring In depth knowledge and understanding of U.S. telecommunications policy issues with ability to assess, track and advise on developing issues. Bachelor\'s Degree and 15 years of government affairs, policy or related advocacy experience. JD preferred. Proven track record building/leading coalitions and working effectively with advocacy organizations, think-tanks, and industry trade associations. Excellent research, communications, and writing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with consistently high-quality work product. Strong interpersonal communication and networking strengths: excellent listening, analytical and interpretive skills as well as mature judgment, political acumen, tact, and diplomacy in handling sensitive and/or confidential matters with a broad constituency. Excellent written and oral communication skills, meticulous detail-orientation, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Your Pay The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate\'s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience. Washington DC: $221,200 - $331,800 Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit\'s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply. Your Health Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of 3 medical plan options, 2 of which are PPO plans requiring employee contributions to the cost of premiums, and a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with no premiums for employees and dependents. In addition, Ericsson offers free dental coverage, employee paid vision coverage, and other company paid physical wellness programs. Your Financial Security We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson\'s 401(k) plan offers an automatic 3%company contribution and up to a 4% company match, leading to a maximum company contribution of 7% annually. Employees will also receive company paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage and paid company short-term and long-term disability benefits. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson\'s Stock Purchase Plan. Your Time Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided up to 40 days of paid time off per year, including 15 days of accrued annual vacation, 3 personal days, 11 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 1volunteer day. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee\'s start date. Those with additional vacation time at the end of the year may sell one week of vacation, equal to a week of pay. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of maternity/medical leave, 6 weeks of paternity or adoption leave at 100% of pay, and medical leave at 100% or 66 2/3% of pay, based on length of service.
