Organization Description

The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorgan Chase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams. The group proactively and strategically partners with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls. The group's number one priority is to enable the business by keeping the firm safe, stable and resilient.

High Risk Roles (HRR) are sensitive roles within the technology organization that require high assurance of the integrity of staff by virtue of 1) sensitive cybersecurity and technology functions they perform within systems or 2) information they receive regarding sensitive cybersecurity or technology matters. Users in these roles are subject to enhanced pre-hire screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks (as allowed by law). The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.

The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorgan Chase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls, and resiliency teams. The team under the group focuses on cybersecurity in Public Clouds. We proactively and strategically partner with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls in Public Cloud Environments.

As a Cloud Security Software Engineer, you will help build Cloud Environment Governance and Protection, Auditing, Monitoring, Remediation and Reporting solutions. You will help develop software solutions to ensure a secure Public Cloud environment and implement sufficient controls to safeguard and protect resources in Public Clouds.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 7+ years of experience working within engineering teams
• 3+ years of people management experience, managing software engineers
• 3+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, reliability and scaling) of distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience in to recruit, hire, mentor, and coach Software Engineers at different levels of experience
• Deep knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale, highly-available, high-quality systems and software products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to non-technical leaders.
• General awareness and interest in Security is a plus
• Experience in AWS Serverless, Lambda, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, etc. is a plus
• Experience with Azure, GCP or other Public Cloud environments is a plus.
