Job Title: Veterinary Doctor with Poultry Experience

Reports to: Managing Director(MD)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Doctor with specialized experience in poultry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases in poultry, ensuring their overall health and well-being. This role requires a deep understanding of poultry health, disease prevention, and treatment protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Poultry Health Care:

• Conduct routine health assessments of poultry flocks.
• Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in poultry.
• Develop and implement disease prevention programs.
• Administer vaccines and medications as needed.
• Conduct necropsies to determine causes of death.

Disease Management:

• Monitor and manage biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks.
• Provide guidance on proper nutrition and feeding practices.
• Collaborate with farm managers and workers on best practices for animal care.
• Keep accurate records of health assessments and treatments.

Poultry Production Support:

• Advise on proper housing and environmental management for poultry.
• Oversee the implementation of biosecurity measures.
• Assist in improving poultry genetics for better productivity.
• Educate poultry farm owners on proper care and management practices.

Emergency Care:

• Provide emergency care to sick or injured poultry.
• Conduct home visits occasionally, in case of emergency.

Educational Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Previous experience working with poultry in a clinical or field setting.
• Strong understanding of poultry diseases and treatment protocols.
• Experience with biosecurity measures and disease prevention strategies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language.
• Patience and a love for animals.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in medical equipment (e.g., X-ray machines) and anesthesia procedures.

Salary & Bonus :

Based on Experience

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?100,000.00 per month
