Our client, a Ship Management Company is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team in Mumbai.This Accounting Manager leads and manages the vessel accounting for the clients, corporate accounting for the Company and its subsidiaries such as managing all aspects of vessel accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to vessel operations, including lube oil expenses, maintenance costs, and crew related expenses. financial planning and budgetary analysis, manage cash management and treasury operations activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting processes, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis specifically tailored to the ship management industry. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a through understanding of maritime accounting principles and regulations.To be suitable for this role, you should have:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Accountancy or related field, and/or attainment of a Professional Accountancy qualification with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a ship managemet company or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheet.
• Enjoy working with numbers, with a high degree of accuracy and is comfortable with large spreadsheets
• Understanding of accounting principles (IFRS) and differences for cash flow treatment and of valuation models, IRR, and cash flow valuation
• Ship accounting (OPEX) role experience in ship management company
• In-depth knowledge of vessel accounting.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines
