Role DefinitionWe are looking for a reliable Senior Vendor Development Engineer to oversee and
establish new Vendors to increase on time delivery for development parts and to reduce
cost through process validation. Audit the Vendors to meet the ZCO requirements in
terms of quality, delivery and cost.
The successful candidate will be strong technically, with high organizational skills, good
business understanding, and persuasive communication skills.Responsibilities
xefx82xb7 Build a strong vendor base for the company.
xefx82xb7 Perform supplier capability assessments as related to quality systems, process
controls, manufacturing capabilities.
xefx82xb7 System development and utilization - Define and develops local quality procedure for
across various material categories as per ZCO requirements.
xefx82xb7 Ensure cost, schedule and supply chain continuity conditions are met in support of
quality, delivery, cost.
xefx82xb7 Conduct Full process PPAP process audit and ensure no deviation from approved
process.
xefx82xb7 Drive the selection of external providers through evaluation processes to meet ZCO
requirements in terms of quality, delivery and cost.
xefx82xb7 Also, assessment to be done for existing external providers to improve the present
performance level.
xefx82xb7 Perform as a functional bridge amongst external providers as well as internal
stakeholders.
xefx82xb7 Identify opportunity for improvement in existing process to reduce the product cost.
xefx82xb7 Provide technical expertise and leadership to sourcing and development of suppliers
with respect to technology, performance, quality, cost and delivery.
xefx82xb7 Implement consistent processes, materials, machinery and policies for our parts at
the external provider location.xefx82xb7 Monitoring the performance of external suppliers on a monthly basis through quality
and delivery performance.
Requirements and skills
xefx82xb7 B.E / Diploma.
xefx82xb7 Proven experience of 5 to 10 yrs in Manufacturing Industry or Machine shop is must.
xefx82xb7 Thorough Knowledge of GD&T
xefx82xb7 Strong Drawing knowledge.
xefx82xb7 Knowledge of fabrication, machining process and special process (Powder
coating / Plating)
xefx82xb7 Strong Negotiation skills.
xefx82xb7 Programing knowledge in CNC/VMC/HMC.
xefx82xb7 Material and process knowledge.
xefx82xb7 Awareness of prevailing market prices.
xefx82xb7 Fixing cost calculation of the parts.
xefx82xb7 Commercial and taxation knowledge.
xefx82xb7 Computer proficiency
xefx82xb7 Expert communication skills
